TEACHER | TRANSLATOR | INTERPRETER | CONSULTANT.

Hello, my name is Sanandra. I am a freelancer teacher, translator, interpreter and consultant based in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. I have always been passionate about communication and anything that connects people across the globe. Languages are a big part of that. Besides Portuguese (native speaker), I am also fluent in English and can get by in Spanish and French.

I have got a BA in English, Linguistics and Literature and have been experimenting with communication in many different areas. This website is a summary of my professional experiences and ways I can help you reach out and connect with whoever you want.

Já tinha tido referências de Sanandra e sabia de sua competência, mas nossa primeira experiência profissional foi surpreendente. O desafio foi grande: traduzir os diálogos feitos entre uma pesquisadora de Harvard, economista que pesquisava um programa na área da saúde, e os profissionais de saúde, docentes e estudantes universitários, pacientes do serviços de saúde e gestores públicos em três cidades diferentes no intervalo de dois dias. Contextos culturais, linguagens, vocabulários e campos de saberes diferentes, um ritmo muito frenético. Pois Sanandra, além de ter mostrado uma inteligência e versatilidade muito grande conseguindo fazer um trabalho incrível, foi da primeira hora do dia à ultima uma pessoa tranquila, serena, amável e bem humorada. Fiquei impressionado e passei a recomendá-lo para diversos outros trabalhos.

WHAT I DO

Interpretation and Translation

My associates and I can convey your message throughout the world in a wide variety of languages and by translating documents or any texts. We also work in different modalities of interpretation in corporate, technical, social and scientific events, meetings and activites and anywhere language barriers are present, in-person or online. My language combination for interpreting is A: Portuguese and B: English. If you need interpreting in any other languages, feel free to ask me for recommendations or to coordinate other colleague interpreters for you.

Language Teaching

I am a trained English teacher with 16 years of experience. I have had the opportunity to teach English and Portuguese to people of many different ages and background in public schools, private schools, preparatory courses and more often, private classes. These experiences have given me a quite encompassing understanding about how people learn, what struggles each individual faces and thus I help them learn the way that suits them the most and produces the best benefits. I currently teach focus on online classes of English and Portuguese as a Foreign Language.

Business Consulting

Since 2016 I have been offering Consulting in Business Communication, helping individuals and companies to improve their communication flows and expanding their reach by managing creative professionals, improve/creating online presence and prospecting clients both nationally and internationally. That includes managing projects in communication to make sure all the involved people are aligned with the project goals and acting as spokesperson and speaking in behalf of the client whenever necessary.
